Access in Higham
Higham splits between the village up on the ridge and Lower Higham running down toward the marshes, and the two need a slightly different approach.
Higham village. Ordinary village access — a mix of older property along Hermitage Road and Forge Lane and newer housing, generally with decent driveways and somewhere sensible to unload. If the work is out the back, measure the side gate and we will match a machine to it.
Lower Higham and the marsh side. The ground down here stays soft and holds water well after the weather has cleared, so a tracked machine is the practical choice — it spreads its weight where wheels dig in. If you are moving spoil any distance across open ground, a tracked dumper will keep going where a wheeled one struggles. Tell us roughly where the site sits and we will recommend accordingly.
